Licensed Professional Counselor
Couples and Adults Therapist
Relationships, Life Transitions, Women’s Issues, Mid-Life Challenges, Anxiety/Depression

Nancy is a Licensed Professional Counselor with an empathic heart and ease about her that is tough to beat. She motivates her clients and empowers them to tackle their toughest issues head-on while creating a safe environment to face unsuccessful patterns and discover a new way of life.

Nancy has a gifted ability to connect with couples in all seasons of life. She’s passionate about couples starting their path together through pre-marital counseling while also supporting those who have found themselves in an unfulfilling place with their long-term partner.  She will provide an objective voice in working through repeated, and unhealthy patterns. Blending two families harmoniously can be painful and challenging. Nancy is experienced in joining families together while honoring each family’s differences and creating meaningful loving relationships.

Empowering clients who feel overwhelmed with constant pressure to juggle competing roles and responsibilities in life is a passion for Nancy.  She understands the cultural pressure to “get everything right” and that we tend to judge our worth by comparing ourselves to others. Nancy provides straightforward coping skills for anxiety and depression to her clients as she holds them accountable for their personal and professional goals to make life-enhancing decisions.

Parenting can be quite a challenge. Nancy provides a supportive place for parents to work towards open communication and a deeper understanding of how to connect with their child.  As a mother herself, Nancy has a realistic approach to help guide parents as they navigate this unknown territory. Today our children are under more pressure than ever with academics, social media and non-stop lives.  Nancy equips parents with the tools to be intentional in learning new ways to foster love, structure, and connection.

Nancy believes in a holistic, integrative approach to mental health. This includes making the connection between our minds and bodies. She approaches practices that can help calm acute stress, worry, anxiety, sadness, mood swings, and challenging emotions. Nancy likes to integrate mindfulness, meditation, and exercise. She offers “walk and talk” therapy to promote self-care and to help the client adopt a new, healthier lifestyle.

Nancy earned her undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin and completed her Master’s in Educational Psychology at the University of Houston. Becoming a Court Appointed Child Advocate holds a special place in Nancy’s heart and started her journey toward helping others. Nancy likes to be active and is passionate about learning, feeling healthy through exercise, bonding with friends, and spending time with her family and her rescue dogs.
