Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed LPC Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapist. Jennifer has extensive therapeutic experience and has worked with children, teens, adults, and families for over fifteen years.
Jennifer’s passion for working with children led her to pursue in-depth training in play therapy. As a Registered Play Therapist, Jennifer can address children in their natural language - play. Jennifer’s enthusiastic and creative nature makes her a great fit for tackling many of the challenges children and families face in today’s world. Whether it is overcoming anxiety, building social skills, regulating emotions, or navigating family struggles, Jennifer works to build rapport and provide useful hands-on solutions.
Jennifer believes that therapy is a collaborative process. Jennifer partners with parents, schools, physicians, and psychiatrists to ensure that her clients are supported in every area of their lives. Jennifer works with each family to identify their strengths and goals. Jennifer has a passion for helping her clients of all ages to build emotional intelligence, overcome difficult challenges, and develop tools to enhance their problem-solving and resiliency.
Jennifer has partnered with many local agencies. She has extensive training and experience supporting her clients through grief, loss, and trauma. Jennifer’s compassionate heart creates a safe space for her clients to work through even the most difficult losses, experiences, and transitions. Jennifer incorporates EMDR and other cutting-edge treatment approaches with her clients to build internal resources and process traumatic symptoms and experiences.
Jennifer received her Psychology degree from Trinity University and her Master’s Degree from the University of Houston. Before starting a private practice, Jennifer worked at Bo’s Place, Greater Houston Psychiatric Associates, DePelchin Children’s Center, and Interface-Samaritan Counseling Centers. She has a passion for sharing her expertise by training and supervising new therapists joining the field.
