Nancy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and loves working with couples, parents, and women’s issues. Nancy has an empathic heart and ease about her that is tough to beat. She motivates her clients and empowers them to tackle their toughest issues head-on. Nancy’s ability to connect with her clients creates a safe environment to discover new perspectives on old patterns and destructive relationship cycles.

Nancy has a gifted ability to connect with couples in all seasons of life. Whether your marriage is in constant distress, or you are in a rough patch that you can’t seem to pull out of, Nancy will create a space for you to create healthy communication and build greater intimacy and connection. Nancy is passionate about leading couples through difficult times and transitions and challenges them to be intentional about creating a meaningful and loving relationship built on friendship and respect. She understands that being happy in a relationship also means being happy with ourselves.

Nancy loves to empower women who feel overwhelmed with the constant pressure to juggle all the competing roles and responsibilities in life. She understands the cultural pressure to “get everything right” and understands that women tend to judge their worth by comparing themselves to others. Nancy provides straightforward coping skills to her clients as she holds them accountable for their personal and professional goals and values.

Parenting can be quite a challenge. Nancy provides a safe, judgment-free place for parents to work towards open communication and a deeper understanding of how to connect with their child. Often, we don’t realize how different our parenting styles can be until we are in the midst of challenging times. Today’s world is trying and confusing for our children. Nancy guides parents as they navigate this unknown territory. She understands that what is modeled for us in our childhood shapes our parenting style. Nancy equips parents with the tools to be intentional in breaking unhealthy patterns and learning new ways to foster love, structure, and connection.

Nancy believes in a holistic, integrative approach to mental health. This includes making the connection between our minds and bodies. She approaches practices that can help calm acute stress, worry, anxiety, sadness, mood swings, and challenging emotions. Nancy likes to integrate mindfulness, meditation, and exercise. She offers “walk and talk” therapy to promote self-care and to help the client adopt a new, healthier lifestyle.

Nancy earned her undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin and completed her Master’s in Educational Psychology at the University of Houston. Becoming a Court Appointed Child Advocate holds a special place in Nancy’s heart and started her journey toward helping others. Nancy likes to be active and is passionate about learning, feeling healthy through exercise, bonding with friends, and spending time with her family and her rescue dogs.
