Jill is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Supervisor. Jill has close to twenty years of experience working with clients to create meaningful relationships, heal old wounds, and find peace in a high-anxiety world. She uses her warm, straightforward approach with clients to break old patterns and enhance their capacity to love and live life to the fullest. Jill creates a safe, nonjudgmental space for men and women to make hard decisions about their lives and relationships and to tackle the obstacles that stand in the way of living a life of purpose and meaning.

As a marriage and family therapist, Jill understands that our brains are hard-wired for connection and that we heal through relationships. Whether you are an individual desperately trying to heal a relationship, a disconnected couple at a crossroads, or a frustrated family trying to work through conflict, Jill can work with you to find the healing and connection you crave. At times, relationships can be the source of intense grief and heartbreak. Jill provides a compassionate space for men and women who are grieving the loss of a relationship and supports these clients through the divorce process. She believes there are deep and sacred lessons to be learned when relationships come to an end. Jill coaches her clients as they grow through their pain and transform their heartbreak into a path of healing and new beginnings.

Jill has a special place in her heart for all the healers and caretakers in the world: therapists, pastors, physicians, law enforcement, attorneys, and other helping professionals. Jill understands that these professionals are often the silent sufferers in the world and need a place of respite to address all the pain and suffering they encounter in their professional lives. A tender heart is often what draws these clients into their professions and Jill supports these healers in finding healthy ways to protect their tender hearts from anxiety, compassion fatigue, depression, and burnout.

Jill received her degree in Psychology from Texas A&M and her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston- Clear Lake. Jill has extensive training and experience working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse and continues to be an advocate for abuse survivors. Jill has partnered with many agencies throughout her career including The Children’s Assessment Center, The Council on Recovery, The Houston Area Women’s Center, and Teen & Family Services. She has served on the board of the Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and is an active member of the Harris County Child Abuse Task Force. In addition, she is an active member of the Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team and speaks to various organizations about topics about resiliency and mental wellness. Jill and her husband are avid sports fans and enjoy all the adventures of raising three boys. If Jill is out of the office, chances are you can find her out on a ball field somewhere with her boys or breathing in some salty air down at the bay.
